“Actually, the best gift you could have given her was a lifetime of adventures.”
I have always been an advocate and a firm believer that every couple deserves to travel. Travel alone, travel together but just travel. The world is beautiful and life is short, just live it!
We’ve traveled together before kids and had one other mini getaway since then, but this particular trip was extra special. It was our 10 year anniversary getaway and it has officially been one of the best things we have done as a couple. Not only because we were celebrating 10 beautiful years together but because we are at a completely different stage in our lives and appreciate our relationship and each other more.
We planned this trip for years. We wanted it to be romantic, luxurious, adult oriented but overall an escape from everyday life. And that is exactly what we got.
It took us a while to find the right destination, the right hotel and amenities but once we came across Secrets The Vine, we were sold. It was truly divine.
We spent most of our time relaxing, soaking up all of the sunshine, enjoying peaceful walks on the beach, trying all of the delicious food and sweet cocktails. The room was very spacious with an amazing view. The service was top notch. The beach was unlike any other and the water was just a dream!
While it was off season for Cancun standards the beach was in pristine condition with beautiful temperatures. I couldn’t have asked for more.

I typically spend a lot more time taking photos of every detail but not this time. We really wanted to spend as much time as we could together and enjoy this beautiful weekend! But of course I have some to share with all of you!
This is not a sponsored post but if you are in the market for an adults only vacation with an amazing connection from Chicago, look no further than Cancun. You will not go wrong with any of the resorts but we highly recommend Secrets The Vine.
