Escape rooms have been all the rage lately. My social media is filled with tags and photos of family and friends enjoying this new craze. So Alen and I had to jump at the chance to explore one on our own.
Nothing says date night like being locked in a room with your significant other for 60 minutes. Right?! If you can survive this, you can survive anything hahaha. But really this was an enormous amount of fun and it makes you want to go back again and again.
What to expect?
- Escape Strategy is a real life interactive escape room game where your team determines the outcome of each game.
- You are trapped in a room. As you look around you start to notice strange objects and messages – or are they clues? – hidden around the room. Can you and your team solve the puzzles, find the key, and escape within one hour?
- Grab your friends, family, or co-workers and join the hundreds of thousands of escape artists who have tested their mental might at Aurora first and best rated escape room.
- Communication is essential and must be used. Remember, you only have 60 minutes to escape!
The Mad Hatter Room
The Mad Hatter- The Hatter is at it again. You and your friends need to help Alice solve the clues, avoid the Queen, keep her head and make her way to the tea party of all time. Only one way to find out if you deserve The Hatters hospitality.
The Senators Office
The Senators Office- Your boss is a prominent senator that you suspect of espionage but you have no proof. You decided to set up a fake meeting so the senator would be out of his office. You now have one hour to find the evidence you need to support your claims before he pins it on you. Can you complete the mission?
The Crime Scene Room
The Crime Scene- You are a detective and you’ve just received a phone call that your partner has been found dead… You’re team is now on the scene and need to find the murder weapon, killer or killers and the way out before they come back and finish what they started. Do you have what it takes to solve the puzzle?
We had The Senators Office and the clues were ridiculously good. By that I mean they were so creatively placed that it made you feel stupid once you actually found them. You questioned your smarts every minute you were in there but in the end it all came together and made so much sense. We may or may not have escaped but that is really not important 🤣 What is super important is that we worked well together and had a blast doing it. There was laughter, there was sweat, there may have even been some tears but we loved it all! We still talk about it all of the time and we can’t wait to go back.
If you think this isn’t for you because you are not a gamer, you are wrong. I am not into games and although this was my second time in an escape room it was Alen’s first. But there were no issues and we were able to jump right into the action. So if you enjoy solving puzzles or just want to try something new and different, we definitely recommend Escape Strategy in Aurora. Give them a call and make sure you mention Hazel Eyes Mom sent ya!
Thank you Escape Strategy for sponsoring this post. All of the opinions are my own.
