Setting back the clock with Red Light Therapy

Light therapy has been around for a while but recently it has become available for at home use. Because of my constant exposure to sun and obvious aging, I wanted to give POLY Go Beauty a try.

Before I started I wanted to use something that has a proven track record. Something that not only works but has the industry backing. So when I found UVBioTek, I knew POLY Go was for me. UVBioTek has been a leader in the science and use of light therapy for the past 25 years. They work directly with medical and aesthetic community and know first-hand the needs in this market. Which is why they created POLY Go.

Thank you UVBioTek for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own!

“Today, UVBioTek continues that tradition of innovation with the introduction of the POLY Pro and POLY Go LED photo-rejuvenation line.  As more and more people seek products that are both highly effective and promote overall health and wellness, LED light therapy has emerged as an effective option that balances, preserves and enhances skin vitality.   Consumers are always searching for therapeutic treatments that are pain-free and deliver real results. POLY is the solution that provides a groundbreaking, non-invasive approach to beauty and wellness.”

WHAT IS IT & HOW TO USE IT:

POLY Go Rejuv uses the power of red light (633nm). Red light therapy been clinically proven to decrease skin inflammation, promote collagen production, and promote healing, all on the go.

  1. Red light at 633nm is able to reach the middle layer of the skin cell, also known as the dermis.
  2. Once the dermis has been reached, the mitochondria are stimulated, this part of the cell gives it its energy.
  3. The mitochondria exists inside of the fibroblasts.
  4. Once mitochondria has been activated by the red light, it will then tell the fibroblasts in the skin to produce more collagen to firm, tighten, and overall improve the appearance of the treated area.

Treatments are in three-minute increments per skin position, and the device can be used daily. Results may be seen in as early as 6 weeks; however, individual results may vary.

Recommended treatment is to apply POLY Go treatment for three minutes per selected treatment area. After the three minutes, the unit may be repositioned to another part of the skin for another three minutes. Repeat until all desired areas are treated. This device may be used daily.

Note: The safety eye wear (included) should be worn during the administration of blue light to protect the eyes from potential damage.

MY RESULTS:

I have only been using the POLY Go Rejuv for about a week but I can already see a small change. Some of the age spots are almost gone and the others are lighter than before. But besides it visibly changing my skin, I feel so relaxed when I use it. The light is warm and it’s so easy to use. I can’t wait to continue using this at home treatment and move on to my neck and chest as well. Those two areas have been neglected for years and now I can see my age shining through!

WHAT DO I LOVE THE MOST:

Obviously I love that I am improving my skin one treatment at a time but also that POLY Go is cordless and it comes with a rechargeable battery. It makes it so much easier to use and move around.
