I think we are getting away this spring and possibly summer too.
While we don’t have anything booked yet, we are 90% there.
Here is what I have in my Amazon cart and what I consider a list of must haves for any getaway but especially this year.

Masks
I think it’s safe to say that no matter where you end up this year, masks are still a must. I found these disposable masks in a pack of 50 I think they are perfect. 3 ply and black. Goes with everything. We might as well be fashionable while we are at it. Plus, the fact that they are disposable makes it so much easier.

Hand sanitizer:
This was in my bag before Covid and it will continue to be there after. Even though most shops and restaurants now provide sanitizer for us, having these travel size sanitizer on hand is great. Plus everyone can get their own.

Lysol:
Another item that I never leave without. As soon as we get to our destination, I spray everything. From door handles, to the entire bathroom, bed, remote controllers, etc. It gives me a peace of mind and one extra step that I take to ensure my family is protected.

Sheets & pillow cases:
This may be crazy to some but I prefer to lay my head on my own pillow case. Sometimes I just bring an extra flat sheet and lay it across all of the pillows. But it helps me sleep better and adds an extra layer of protection.

Flip flops:
I never walk on the hotel floors barefoot. Gross. Always bring flip flops for all of us not only for the beach but for the room. If they have slippers available, I will use those but otherwise flip flops or slip on shoes for the win.

Sunscreen:
Even if you are going skiing, you should protect yourself. UV rays are no joke. But especially if you are heading out to the beach. Stock up.

Travel Hamper:
This is new for me but it makes sense. Pop one open, everyone throws their dirty laundry in there for the time being, close it and pop it back in the luggage on the way home. Once home, it goes straight to the laundry room. Done.

Travel Jewelry Box:
I bring a lot of accessories when I travel. I love to dress up for the evenings and have to have my jewelry. I find that this box is perfect for just that. Everything in one place and it looks beautiful too.

Insulated Tumblers:
If you are travelling to an all inclusive, this is a game changer. Get your own travel mug and not only do you protect yourself from any contamination but your drinks stay nice and cold in the hot sun.

Packing cubes:
This changed the way I pack. Everyone gets a cube, everything has a place and it’s perfect. Easy to find. Easy to pack. Easy to travel.

Snorkel mask:
If you are going anywhere with your kids and there is a pool or a beach, please get this. You will not regret it. It provided hours upon hours of entertainment for our kids. In the pool and the ocean. Even though they are a bit bulky to pack, they are worth it.

That is it for PART I, but make sure you come back for my bathing suit edition next week. In the mean time, check out my pre-covid essential travel must haves.
