-Life Through My Hazel Eyes-

Life through my hazel eyes.

This idea of starting a motherhood/ lifestyle blog has been on my mind for years. I always felt like every mom has her own experiences and we all have something to offer in the advice category. I will use this platform to share my honest journey and hope to connect with other moms on this crazy roller coaster ride. I have learned a lot about motherhood and life through my own trials and tribulations but also from my mom, aunts, and girlfriends. I look forward to sharing this with my followers.

To start this off I will tell you a bit about myself. My name is Dijana but I usually go by Dee 😉 . I was born in Slovenia but lived in Bosnia with my mom, dad and sister until I was about 9.  Temporarily moved to Slovenia until I was 11. Moved again to Germany for a few years and eventually settled in Chicago when I was 13. We did not move by choice but rather due to the conflicts in the Balkans. However, I will save that experience and overcoming language barriers for another blog post.

It is safe to say that I have spent most of my life in the Chicagoland area. I went to high school and college in Chicago. This is also where I met my wonderful husband, Alen. We have been married for almost 10 years and have two beautiful and rambunctious children, Adriana 7 and Adanis 4. We have also moved a few times as a family but finally settled in a small suburb west of Chicago. This is where our life story begins…buckle up and enjoy the ride!
