I challenged myself to read 12 books last year and ended up reading 21. This year, I upped the game and wanted to read 24 novels but ended up reading 25.
I am taking a little break from reading right now but I had to share my favorites before end of the year.
Let’s get into it.
This book was an absolute page turner. A psychological thriller that is jaw dropping and keeps you guessing until the very end.
“…and by the time I realize my attic bedroom door only locks from the outside, it’s far too late. But I reassure myself: the Winchesters don’t know who I really am.”
This is another twisty, psychological thriller that is suspenseful and full of lies. Uncovering the truth is half the fun.
“When a woman is murdered in Blackdown, a quintessentially British village, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case. Detective Jack Harper is suspicious of her involvement, until he becomes a suspect in his own murder investigation.
Someone isn’t telling the truth, and some secrets are worth killing to keep.”
This one is different. Very different! Definitely on the spicy side of #booktok that makes you question your morals!
“As the three of them take her under their wing, teach her to work and survive in the remote woods far away from the rest of the world, she slowly finds her place among them. And as a part of them. She also realizes that lines blur and rules become easy to break when no one else is watching. One of them has her. The other one wants her. But he…He’s going to keep her.”
This is a great mystery read with a side of twists and suspense. A thrilling tale of family secrets and revelations.
“Seraphine mourns the recent death of her father. While going through his belongings, she uncovers a family photograph that raises dangerous questions. It was taken on the day the twins were born, and in the photo, their mother, surrounded by her husband and her young son, is smiling serenely and holding just one baby. Who is the child, and what really happened that day?”
Another mystery, thriller, suspense novel that I just could not put down. This deep and dark tale had me fooled until the very end. I loved it.
“Theo Faber is a criminal psychotherapist who has waited a long time for the opportunity to work with Alicia. His determination to get her to talk and unravel the mystery of why she shot her husband takes him down a twisting path into his own motivations―a search for the truth that threatens to consume him….”

Follow me on Goodreads for the rest of my list and their reviews. Until next time, keep reading and tell me what I should read next.
