Let’s switch gears a bit around here and talk about something more fun! Like this fantastic Amazon find: my new Electric Crepe Maker.
This is a game changer and you MUST have it.
If you love crepes, that is.
I’ve said this time and time again, we love crepes. We make them very often and for me it’s fairly easy (years of experience). But I still look for ways to make life easier for myself.
Which leads me to my recent Amazon, impulse buy: Electric Crepe Maker.
I love it.
It is so easy to use. It does not burn your crepes; unless you leave it unattended. So pay attention. But it literally takes 60 seconds per crepe so no worries there. As soon as the edges start pulling away from the crepe maker, flip it or take it off.
Actually, it slides right off once done.
- It is compact, quick and convenient. Nonstick and it makes perfect 8 inch crepes.
- Simply preheat the crepe maker, dip it into the plate of batter, a quick thin layer of batter, and watch your crepe cook in seconds. Literally.
- TIP: place them on a paper towel lined plate, stack them on top of each other and always ALWAYS cover with a pan cover or another plate. You want the steam to keep them soft. Otherwise they will be crunchy and hard to work with.
The crepe maker is very easy to clean. Simply wipe the cooking plate over with a damp cloth and your crepe machine is clean. Always make sure the appliance is cool and dry before storing.
