Can we just stop judging others for the way they celebrate life?

I understand that celebrations, motherhood and parenting looks different for every single one of us. 

I understand that keeping up with social media and staying in line with who you truly are, can be difficult. 

I understand that wanting to be a Pinterest mom can be intimidating and exhausting.

I understand that not everyone is crafty or creative. Period. 

I understand that gift giving isn’t everyone’s forte. Heck, it’s not in everyone’s budget.

I understand that heart shaped pancakes and making leprechaun bark isn’t a priority. 

I understand that having a themed breakfast, party, or gift baskets isn’t a thing for many families.

All of these are okay.

But what I don’t understand is why people continue to make others feel bad, for said actions, activities, or events?

Maybe they truly love being crafty. 

Maybe they love gift giving.

Maybe they love being a Pinterest and/ or Amazon mom.

Maybe they can afford it.

Maybe they can’t but they budget for it and try.

Maybe they love being influenced or inspired by social media and want to have fun. 

Maybe they just love making heart shaped pancakes and leprechaun bark.

It’s different but it’s not your life! Why is other's happiness such a trigger for many?

Can we just agree to disagree and move on? Leave people alone.

Just because it doesn’t align with your life, doesn’t mean it will to impact you in any way. 

If your simple life makes YOU happy, and your kids feel loved, then maybe this embellished and bougie life, makes them happy and their kids feel loved too. 

Be confident in your ways; whatever that may look like and just keep scrolling.
