In a few short months, we will hopefully be frolicking on a beach somewhere. But for now, we still don’t have an actual plan.
I have spent countless hours searching and exploring ideas and new “undiscovered” or “less busier” spring break destinations and this is what I have narrowed it down to. Maybe we will see you at one of these.
Check it out and let me know in the comments what you think or if you have any other suggestions?
London, England – UK
I know a flight to London may seem intense but the price is attractive. Some dates are almost 30% cheaper than any destination I found in the USA. If you don’t believe me, check it out here. Even with direct flights, you are saving money compared to a week at any hotel in Florida or Arizona. But if you have flexibility to do connecting flights, you can save even more money and use that to take the EuroStar from London to Paris. But besides the deals, you get to take your family on a completely different experience and explore a new or several new countries! I think that is unbeatable.

Miami, Florida – USA
The reason why I picked Miami, even though it is THE spring break destination, is because families usually steer away from it. Especially during spring break. So you will find yourself with so many family friendly activities in the area and around but without the crowds. The spring breakers will keep their shenanigans on South Beach. There are so many museums, parks, stunning tropical beaches and other attractions that will keep you busy and sun kissed for a full week. If you don’t believe me, just check out our last visit with the kids here. And for an amazing deal for 4 – check this out.

Canyon City, Colorado – USA
This is definitely not a destination that pops up often but I think it’s worth checking out. Especially The Royal Gorge. This is definitely on my list for so many reasons but mainly because it is so different. And if you have been around here, you know I love to find those hidden gems. The Royal Gorge is known as Colorado’s most breath taking rolling restaurants. The Royal Gorge Route Railroad offers up to four daily departures, including 9:15 am, 12:30 pm, and 3:30 pm, with 6:30 pm departures on weekends. All white you get to enjoy the most beautiful spring scenery. You can fly or drive to Denver, CO or Colorado Springs, CO and book one of these extraordinary experiences. They have many different seating and viewing options but the scenery is what drew me in. I can’t wait to experience this with my family one day. Check out this wonderful YouTube video by Hashtag Colorado Life and book yours here.

Stunning views surround you, while you enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner, prepared fresh onboard the train. Our fully stocked bars offer specialty drinks, beer, and wines from around the world to enjoy at your table or out on an open-air car. Children under 2 years of age are free, when seated on a parent lap. All children must be supervised and well-behaved. If children under two require a seat, a ticket must be purchased. Food and beverage are at an additional charge.
So what do you think? Any of these destinations sound like something you would do? Let me know in the comments and maybe I can explore some of your suggestions too. Until next time, let’s start the journey.
