21 Day, Self-Care Challenge

I am a firm believer that taking care of yourself before taking care of others, can exponentially change your life and relationships. Healthy bonds between you and your partner, your kids, parents, and friends can all depend on how emotionally, mentally and often times, physically fit, everyone truly is.

Here is my 21 Day, Self-Care Challenge. It is very simple but it will challenge you to make a commitment to prioritize yourself and strive for better emotional, phycological and social well being.

*The information provided should not be used for diagnosing or treating a health problem or disease, and those seeking personal medical advice should consult with a licensed physician. Always seek the advice of your doctor or other qualified health provider regarding a medical condition.

As you can see, most of these are simple tasks that don’t require too much planning or time. But they do require you to stop, think and focus on yourself even if just for a moment. No matter how small, the idea is to only center your attention on YOU and tune out everything and everyone else.

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Print or download this list.
  2. Every day, pick a new task and do it (does not have to be in any order).
  3. Stick to it for 21 days and watch your mind and body transform and feel better.
  4. Take a few days off and start a new list or do it all over again.
  5. Believe in yourself and have fun too.

These are just ideas to get you started but you can create your own list too. Make it full of tasks and ideas that compliment you and your life. Have a goal in mind. A mission to accomplish. Things that make you smile, activities that relax you, events that bring joy to your life. Whatever will make you a better version of yourself and in turn be a better partner, parent, friend, daughter, son, etc.

They can be as simple as sleeping in, drinking more water, eating better, or as big as treating yourself to a weekend away or a good pair of noise canceling headphones and literally tuning everything out for a few minutes each day. Your call. Your health. You make it all about YOU!

Until next time, take a deep breath in – HOLD IT – now exhale. Now share this list with your partner, friend, mom or neighbor. Everyone deserves a little self love. Also, check out my last mental health post and let me know what you think.

  1. I LOVE this idea and am going to try my best to complete your list! The sheet one may not happen as it would be forced laundry so not relaxing/self care (we only have one set that fits our bed cause sheets are expensive lol), but I’m gonna try to do as many as possible!

  2. Love this! Its definitely an area i need to work on, my self care includes the care of the family always 😀 isnt that just in nature for us. Thanks for the reminder Dijana and sharing these!

  3. Love this self care is so important, sometimes we get so lost in our busy life’s and everything else and just don’t have me time!!! For me self care is getting a pedi and yoga class and whipping up a good desert!!!! 💕💕
