All Inclusive Family Resorts

Oh how I love to plan and go on vacations. Who doesn’t, right?! 😁

Over the past 10 years my husband and I have visited our fair share of all inclusive resorts and are always looking for the next best thing. So far there have only been a handful of resorts that we would visit again. The rest, while great, not amazing enough that we would go back. I am sharing our top all inclusive, family friendly Caribbean resorts.

Some people plan their vacation around the time kids are out of school. Popular times are Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring and of course summer breaks. Others plan vacations around their budget. The rest of us try to do both 😉

Before the kids were in school, we travelled in April or May. Now we try not to take them out of school and plan our vacations around that. Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring break prices can be ridiculous. But you can also find last minute deals if you shop around, have a flexible schedule or have a great travel agent who can help you out. We will stick with the good ol’ summer break for now.

Before I begin I will tell you that I am very particular about hotel rooms. I research the heck out of the review sites and fine tooth and comb those photos. Therefore, all of the resorts I will mention met my picky criteria and then some. 😊 I will also mention that I am giving you a quick description of why we love the places we do, but I will let my photos speak for themselves. If you want more, you can find detail reviews on my Trip Advisor profile. 🏝

Our criteria: shortest/ non stop flight, early departure/ arrival [before noon], close to airport, family friendly, on the beach, all inclusive, has an exclusive or preferred club, free wifi and non smoking.

#7 RIU Palace Pennisula – if you want to be close to downtown Cancun, this is the place to be. I would not necessarily recommend it for families with little kids, but overall I would go back if it was just my husband and I. It is stunning. The views and the beach are worth a million bucks. It is clean, the rooms are fantastic, and the food and drinks were great.

#6 Majestic Elegance Punta Cana – this is a 5 star deluxe hotel located on the most amazing Bavaro Beach. It has comfort, nature, exclusive services and high-quality treatment. There is a lot to do and see. From golf, amazing tours of Dominican Republic, markets, nature and to my ultimate favorite spot on earth – Saona Island. This is one of my husbands favorites ❤

#5 Iberostar Cancun – 5 star hotel, 15 minutes from the airport. So many pools that you can literally hang out at a different one each day. Food was amazing. Service was fantastic. Kids pool and kids club, definitely for bragging. Beach was just ok, but the view from the rooms makes up for it all!

#4 Now Jade Rivera Maya – unlimited luxury. Wonderful views and pools. Beach was just ok but the grounds made up for that. It was very relaxing and memorable. Rooms were perfect and always clean. Food was fantastic.

#3 Barceló Bavaro Palace Deluxe Punta Cana – I loved this place. Another 5 star hotel and it showed. From check in until the end. Everything was impeccable. The beach is to die for. Pink sand and you can walk the shore for hours. Beautiful crystal clear water and coral reefs. It is considered 1 out of 10 most stunning beaches in the world.

#2 Royalton Punta Cana – this was our first Royalton experience and we fell in love. I think we will be Royalton fans for a while. Luxury doesn’t describe it. Everything was fabulous. The room was amazing, plenty of food to choose from, the entire resort was clean and had so much to offer. Great shows, lots of kids activities, fun day time events, market, shopping, tours, and so much more.

#1 Royalton Rivera Cancun – this is a modern, luxury resort with so many amenities that will keep all ages busy from day to night. The cleanliness was top notch. The service is outstanding. The food is great and plenty of restaurants to choose from. Splash parks, water parks, kids clubs, wonderful beach and cabanas, privacy, water sports, free Wi-Fi and so much more. This is by far our #1  😍

What is your favorite Carribean resort? We are most likely to return to Royalton but are open to suggestions 😀 Let me know in the comments!
